SUCKS. We learned this morning that my sisters ex boyfriend ended his life. They broke up a couple of months ago and he tried to supress the pain by drinking and not dealing with his depression in a healthy way. If you know anyone who is suffering from a mental illness and alcholism PLEASE get them help! It kills me to hear my sister say she would rather have him beating the crap out of her every day (which he never did) than have to deal with this death. If you pray please say a little prayer for my sister Kelly and Scott's kids Cole Tyler and Andrew tonight.

Oh my god. My thoughts are with you and everyone involved. So sorry.
I'm so, so sorry, Kim.
Unfortunately I have some hard-earned advice in dealing with a loved one's suicide. It's this: never, ever blame yourself. Also: don't suppress the anger. Often we don't want to feel angry at someone who's passed, especially in this manner. But anger is a natural reaction to such an unnatural act.
Please be well. I'll say a prayer for all of you tonight. If you guys need someone to talk to, I'm always here.

I am so sorry for your sister and her children. Suicide is never forgotten by those left behind. I know. My dad took his life when I was only 1-1/2, so I never knew him. My ex took his life too, when our youngest was in jr high. Just be there for her and let her know it was not her fault.
I'm so sorry. I've lost a friend to suicide and it's heartbreaking.
So sorry to hear about Scott. Give our love and sympathy to Kelly. So sad.
I am so sorry to hear this, and what you all are going through. No one will really understand why he did this, but my prayers are with you for your sister and his kids.
So sorry to hear this, and sad too to see that so many of the people commenting have lost a loved one to suicide (myself included). Get angry, feel sad and take care of all of you.
