I'm confused...help

So I got a new email account today because I really want to open a supply shop on etsy. I went to the sell section and found myself chickening out. Will I have enough time to check 3 email accounts or even remember to check them all for that matter. I have ALOT of stuff (vintage fabric, good paper, buttons, ephemera) and traffic is pretty slow this time of year in the brick and mortar so it makes sense to try and sell some of this stuff and I just think having a supply shop and then a separate shop for my finished stuff on etsy makes sense. So all you who have two shops give me some advice. Should I do it?

By the way do you love my vintage sunglasses I found on a recent thrifting trip. I do. Even if I look a little funny...I like that.

Don't forget about THE CONTEST!

I've got two etsy shops and at the moment it's not too confusing to check both emails, but perhaps that's because i've only sold two things in my second shop! I know there's all kinds of ways you can get emails forwarded into one mailbox but I haven't figured that out yet. And I think two shops is a good plan for you- it gets a bit confusing if vintage is mixed in with handmade.

As with most things in business, the more you are able to simplify and streamline the better will be your ability to maintain your standards of quality service and efficiency. If having another separate email will enable you to better organize and delineate your sales and inventory, while not lessening your attention to customers then, yes, by all means go for it. I would think that you would just have to get yourself into a habitual routine of checking each account at regular times of day. It may seem like a lot to chew on initially but I think once you get yourself into the new routine you will appreciate the organizational benefits of separating your stores...at least that's how it is for a guy like me, who is in some ways more like Monk in my OCD tendencies...I need things to be delineated.

BTW, I think you got those glasses from the lead guy of the Buggles...in that old music video "Video Killed the Radio Star."

I have a website and a wholesale site which gives me three emails. It is easy! When you check one....check them all! Just get yourself in a routine. Yea, it takes a little bit more time but hey...it is definately worth the effort. Nothing great comes easy!

I have 2 shops and since the emails from paypal come to my regular email I know when I have a sale in my supply shop. I just try to log into the supply shop a few times a day to check for convos. It's well worth it to open a supply shop, I started mine last summer and have sold over 3000 items. The past few months the supply shop has helped my income tremendously since my jewelry and collage shop has been slower than I'd like.
Go for it, you'll be glad you did.
