Studios

I recently saw a blog that had a woman's studio that was just unreal. It was huge, had tons of storage and looked really organized. Mine is quite the opposite. My studio is about 200 square feet and it usually looks like this. I would like to have a bit more organization but overall I like it like this. When it is clean and tidy I can't work. You can always tell when I am productive by the state of my studio. Right now it is super duper messy... I am having fun!

If I could start over I would paint it a nice turquoise and accent it with red and cream and have a new floor. Maybe some day? I am secretly hoping some HGTV show will catch wind of this and come and help me out?????

I have that dream, too--HGTV please find us!! LOL

I'm sure there is creative inspiration behind every nook and cranny in your space, what fun it would be to go through all your supplies and vintage/art goodies!

You mean our studios aren't supposed to look like that? I have a desk somewhere under my pile pf papers, paint, ink, stamps, etc. I wouldn't know what to do if I could see it.

I am not too far off from your same work-in=progress aesthetic, but Mercury is in retro-grade at the moment, and always proves to be the best time for re-organization. I am getting there; slowly.

Kim, I love this because mine looks very similar, except piles of plastic tubs instead of shelves!

What particularly makes me smile is the 12 square inches of working space, ah I recognise that so well :)

Like I said, you should call it 'Where REAL Women Create'-lol! I love that you shared. It is so great to have a space that is ours, no matter the size, or state of organization. I have had everything from the dining room table to a closet to my own room. I claimed them all!

I bet you have some awesome stuff in there!

HGTV would totally wreck your studio. On the other hand, maybe your studio would cause HGTV to disintegrate. That would be a good thing (I don't like that channel).
