It's that time of year gardening and giveaways!!!

The view from my backroom studio is very hard to resist right now. I find myself wondering back there throughout the day to pull weeds, move plants and whatever other excuse I can come up with. Today as I sit doing my taxes (big yuck) I can smell the just peeking out lilacs and it is intoxicating. It is the first day that they are opening and I noticed the lily of the valley are making their way out too. My herb garden that I started a week or so ago from seed is already producing more little seedlings than I thought it would and the hostas are coming in really nice and strong this year. It is a good year for the garden I can just feel it. Unfortunately it may not be a good week to get the taxes done. Maybe I will just bring it all outside??? hmmm. I think that sounds like a great plan.

To celebrate my favorite time of year I will be giving away this lovely little pea pod necklace! IIt is one of my new clay necklaces that I just love making! Just leave a comment for me...and hey include a link to your garden if you have one! If you link my giveaway on your blog you get an extra chance to win so if you do that include a link to your blog in the comments too!!! I will pick a winner from a hat on Friday May 29th! Good luck and show me those gardens!

I have my lilacs in bloom and my flowering crab is too and just loaded with honey bees. Hostas are up strong and so are the lily of the valley. Very warm today (80's) and so windy. Fruit trees also in blossom but they won't be for long with the wind.

How great! Picked so many peas as a kid they make me instantly think summer. Don't have any pics of garden just now but would love to enter :D

I absolutely love lily of the valley!! Unfortunately it will not grow in FL, nor will hostas, another plant I would love in my garden, especially since we have so much shade. Some shots from my Florida garden

Oh I love it! No garden for me, only tomato plant babies on the kitchen table destined for pots outside.

Oh I love it! No garden for me, sorry, maybe some container tomatoes if they survive their baby stage.

Oh...I love your garden!!! I don't have pics of mine yet, but will have to post some soon. I just planted my veggies last week...tomatoes, peppers and pumpkin. My herbs are potted up in pots and growing like weeds. Don't you just love spring?

I forgot to tell you that I did post a comment on my blog about your give-a-way.

Digging in the dirt makes those long winter months all worth it.

Fun idea... I enjoyed documenting my garden this year for a post. Who wouldn't love one of your clay creations.

Great necklace!
I would send you pictures of my garden but there's none on line. We have a community garden plot full of veggies which are just starting to come up, very exciting! Lots of peas!

Kim- I bet you LOVE hanging out in this space! I've been gardening for about 2 1/2 months already...na na na! LOL But I'll be sizzling by mid June thru July while you're enjoying optimal flower weather! I've added you to my blog roll cuz you inspire me girlie!! I am trying to get my art groove back on after an intermission and many sporadic years!! I have to say that life has been getting better since I made it a priority.
Have a Fabulous day!
