Some of you may recall my crazy pictures of the studio in complete and total chaos. While I admit it is a little out of control it still works for me to be messy but this is a little too much. I knew it was time to get things under control. So after weeks of purging, a few trips to the dump and St
Vinnies my studio is now a little more organized.....
The next step is to paint the walls...I am thinking turquoise, putting in a new floor and maybe just maybe a sink? I do have one in the basement right off my studio but having one right in the studio would just be so much more
convenient. I still have a little more purging and organizing to do but baby steps.
Unfortunately this little cutie has inherited my hoarding gene. If I really wanted to
embarrass her I would take a picture of her room that looks strikingly similar to my before studio picture! Poor girl.

Did you sneak into my studio for the before pic? Looks like you're making good progress!
I'm hoping to get my act once school starts again. My 5yr old has tendency to..um... "collect" things too- it is hard to make them get organized when the adults still need to clean up our own spaces, isn't it?
Good progress, Kim! (If that whole neat thing is what you're after. LOL) I thought I had conquered my hoarding gene (my mama is the ultimate packrat of all things sentimental and crafty), but then I discovered collage art and put up the white flag (embellished with ephemera, sequins and lace) of surrender.
Kim I don't know about you but sometimes my studio is so junky that I can't find supplies that I've already bought so I buy more and my studio is just the dinning room area.

Well I found out this past Friday that I will be laid off at the end of September. So I think now that I'll have plenty of time to give my studio (really it's our dinning room) a makeover.
Kim, I think we are psychic twins!
See these pictures (scroll down) http://loudlife-laurieblaumarshall.blogspot.com/2008/05/did-someone-ransack-your-dining-room.html
and feel at home...

Wow, Kim! Great work on the after. I can see your desk now! I feel inspired to work on mine as well. Must be a LOT easier to get stuff done when you dont have to begin by cleaning off the desk and searching for everything. Good for you!

I loved looking at everyone else's studios! I have discovered that having it that neat is not a good thing. After that picture I had a creative block for days! I need to have stuff in my face to work. So while it will not get like it was before again (I hope) that picture is not too accurate. Oh well I am just going to embrace my creative clutter! Now where is my E6000?
OMG...your before pic is what my studio looks like. I have too much to do and no time to do it. When I have to create, I go down there to gather supplies and bring them upstairs to my kitchen table (which I usually have to clear off to accomplish the task). :-)
Your photos of your studio touched me deeply. All day (actually all week)I've been on a guilt trip over mine (actually my kitchen), but to see that I am not alone lifted my spirits. Now I can tackle it! Imagine touching someone so profoundly that you don't know who lives thousands of miles away from you!
Thanks ;-)
